In my free time I love being with friends, being with my family and travelling.
My interests as a teacher are clear. The ideal thing would be to work in a school where English is not just a subject, but is more integrated in other subjects like science, music, maths and so on. I believe that the immersion model is one of the best systems in order to learn English. The reason is because you use the language for a real purpose and the children can see this.
My goals as a teacher are various:

To make sure that no child is left behind, and above all because of problems with the English language

To be there as a support and to give encouragement
​
To be able to transmit good values to my students
​
To prepare them for life in our current society
Finally, with regards to my training as a teacher, I will always try to keep up to date with the latest methodologies, classroom management strategies and different breakthrough in education.
What is this website about?
This website shows all what I will do throughout Practicum V. This practicum consists of different tasks related with technology, classroom management strategies, designing a teaching unit and a co-teaching activity, among others. It will be carried out between February and June 2018.

My name is Mireia Artero Medina and I am 22 years old. I was born in a Barcelona, Spain. Currently, I am studying the last year of Primary Education and I am doing the speciality in order to be an English teacher in the Autonomous University of Barcelona. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I love working with children.

Some years ago I did a course in order to be a monitor for leisure activities, and since then I have always worked in summer camps that have English as the vehicular language. I consider myself a very responsible and organized person which is an advantage when you want to be a teacher.
