Organitzation of the teaching unit tables

Brief explanation of session 3

This session is a 1-hour session in which a lab report made by the expert is read (whole group). 

Then, the teacher suggests doing a simple rubric. It will be used by students in the following class to correct themselves the lab report. 

This rubric is done all together. The conversation is lead by the teacher who poses questions to students, asking why, and uses different methodologies to bring to light the most important aspects that a lab report has to have.

Then, students have to sit in pairs or trios in order to do an activity with a video. This activity consists in watching the video and order the steps required to use the microscope. Then, they have to add a description of the action that the person is doing to the picture. 

Finally, the teacher explains to the students that, as the following day they will have to go to the lab, they have to complete an online questionnaire on the lab rules.​

The tables that explain the teaching unit are divided in different parts. 

First of all, you will find the objectives, the competences and the contents of each session.

Secondly, you will find the organitzation of the class with the explanation of what you have to do in each moment.

Then, you will find all the materials you need for the session and what you are assessing in the session.

Finally, you will find the adaptations I have made for those students who find it more difficult, some of the problems the session can have and finally the scaffolding that is given in each session.
